Mobile design is constrained in ways desktop is not: a small screen, imprecise touch input, variable connectivity, and users who are frequently distracted or in motion.

Platform conventions matter

iOS and Android have different navigation models, gesture expectations, and control patterns. Designing one interface and shipping it identically to both makes the app feel wrong on at least one. We adapt navigation and controls per platform even when the visual language is shared.

Common questions

Can one design serve both platforms?
The visual language can be shared, but navigation and certain controls should differ. Shipping an identical interface to both makes the app feel foreign on one — usually iOS, where conventions are stronger.
