About ux research & strategy
The cheapest time to discover a design does not work is before it is built. Research is not a luxury phase — it is risk reduction with a very favourable ratio.
Methods matched to the question
Different questions need different methods. “Where do users get stuck?” calls for usability testing. “What do they actually need?” calls for interviews and contextual observation. “Which version performs better?” calls for an experiment. Applying a survey to all three produces confident but useless answers.
Findings that lead to decisions
Research is worthless if it produces a report nobody acts on. We deliver findings prioritised by severity and frequency, with specific recommendations, and run the readout as a working session where decisions get made.
Combining behaviour and analytics
Analytics tell you what happens; research tells you why. Reviewing both together is usually where the useful insight sits — a funnel drop-off becomes actionable once you have watched someone fail at that step.
What the engagement includes
User interviews
Structured conversations with real users about actual needs.
Usability testing
Task-based sessions revealing where users get stuck.
Journey mapping
End-to-end journeys with pain points and opportunities marked.
Heuristic evaluation
Expert review against established usability principles.
Analytics review
Quantitative behaviour interpreted alongside qualitative findings.
What you get

- Debates settled by evidence rather than seniority
- Findings prioritised by severity and frequency
- Analytics interpreted through observed behaviour
- Specific recommendations, not abstract observations
A process without surprises
Clear checkpoints at every stage, so you always know what is shipping and when.
- 1
Research & discovery
We learn the users, the business goals, and the constraints before proposing any visual direction.
- 2
Structure & wireframes
Information architecture and low-fidelity flows agreed before visual design begins.
- 3
Visual design & system
High-fidelity design built as a reusable system rather than a set of one-off screens.
- 4
Prototype & handoff
Interactive prototype for testing, then developer-ready specs, tokens, and assets.
What is included at each tier
Engagements scale with your stage. Every tier includes everything below it.

Sectors we work in
We match method to question and run readouts as working sessions, so research produces decisions rather than a report.
Common questions
Is five users really enough?
We have analytics — is that not enough?
